TYPOLOGY ASSIGNMENT

Definition: The classification or grouping of types that have similar characteristics.

For this assignment, you will create a group of images with a consistent style and approach.

Objectives:
To formally (in camera) create a similar style and frame a consistent image. Through output, match image colors to multiple images. Demonstrate an ability to create consistency across multiple photographic images and prints.

Introduce Color Shooting Assignment

Shooting Assignment 3: Color
Following our in-class discussion of color, go out and make no less than 50 photographs that use color as a primary tool for communicating meaning in the artwork. Contact sheet due in box before class on 10/11.

Homework: 

  1. Make local adjustments to the image you printed during our in-class demo on Monday. Reprint it and bring both prints to class on 10/9. Then make global and local adjustments to two additional images, sharpen them, and print them. We will critique these four prints (of three images) on 10/9. 
  2. Shoot for the Color assignment, contact sheets due 10/11
